“Revenge” star Josh Bowman feels right at home in Australia.

The British actor is on his first trip Down Under to promote the American drama series, which has been watched by more than a million viewers each week on Channel Seven.

“Aussies have the same humour sensibility as the Brits, so I feel like I’m at home,” he told APN.

“I’m definitely going to check the zoo out. I’m a big David Attenborough fan.

“And I’ve got to climb your Harbour Bridge.”

Questions on his rumoured real-life romance with Revenge co-star Emily VanCamp were off limits, but Bowman described the Revenge cast as one big family.

“We hang out on the weekends,” he said.

“We all got so close very quickly. There are no egos. There’s a lot of respect between everyone.

“It’s still the same now (at the end of the series). We’re still all very close. We’re always hanging out together and supporting each other.”

Filming on the first series of Revenge finished a few weeks ago and Bowman said fans can expect an action-packed series finale.

“The climax is amazing,” he said.

“Scene by scene it’s all sorts of crazy, or as Gabriel (Mann, who plays Nolan) said ‘it’s infinity times infinity’.”

Revenge airs Mondays on Seven, with a bonus episode airing tomorrow at 8.30pm.

Get ready for a darker Daniel Grayson.

Josh Bowman says his character, under house arrest for a murder he didn’t commit, will change “180 degrees” as ABC’s hit series “Revenge” wraps up its first season.

“He becomes a lot more clued in and a lot more focused on finding out the truth in everything,” Bowman told the Herald in a recent phone interview from Los Angeles. “It’s really a case of finding out what the hell is going on, and not much will stop him. He becomes a bit more ruthless instead of kind of the sedate Daniel that you’ve been seeing.”

Up until this point, Daniel has been oblivious to the fact that his beloved fiancee Emily (Emily VanCamp) has a vendetta against his family. Bowman, 24, is thoroughly enjoying his character’s transformation. “It’s nice because there’s more of a rootedness,” he said. “It’s not that I might be a bit of this and a bit of that. It’s more this is where I’m going. It’s nice to have set goals as an actor, a set MO to go about your business. I’ll eventually have some things to hide and secrets to protect of my own. I’ve bought chips to the poker game of ‘Revenge.’ ”

Last week (Wednesday at 10 p.m. on WCVB, Ch. 5), the show’s action fast-forwarded to December with the focus on Daniel’s trial. Bowman said it will put a strain on his relationship with Emily, who grows closer to her childhood love Jack (Nick Wechsler).

“The walls start to crack,” he said. “He’s also been in jail and he’s being told things from his mother. He feels like he’s been lied to.”

Until he was 19 years old, Bowman was a professional rugby player in his native England. A shoulder injury forced his retirement from the game and a friend of his, who was an agent, suggested he try acting.

“I think it’s an incredible job. We get to travel. I could be a doctor, dentist, a lawyer and an assassin all in one year. It’s great. I’m never bored. I wouldn’t change it for anything,” he said.

Bowman, who dates VanCamp in real life, also had to get used to people being much more interested in his personal life. But he doesn’t read his press.

“It’s nice people are interested in the show and watch the show, but for me it’s just smoke and mirrors all of that,” he said. “It’s not something I pay attention to an awful lot. It’s all about the work.”

Now that “Revenge” has finished filming its inaugural season, Bowman is looking forward to visiting home during the show’s hiatus.

“I miss the culture, the banter, the rhythms of London — it’s different. It’s complete opposite to what’s over here,” he said. “I do sometimes miss the rain as well. I never thought I’d say that.”
